Here are a few photos from our trip to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park in Colorado, in June '14. Click on one of the small images below to see it full size.

From Sunset Point you can see all the way to Monument Mesa (above our house) Between 1904 and 1909 a 5.8 mile tunnel was dug and blasted through mountains, to irrigate the Uncompahgre Valley with water from the Gunnison River The tunnel starts under the building at the right A steel net catches debris to keep them out of the tunnel
