Janice,
Charlie and Curtis, our minister, at the entrance to Big Bend National
Park. |
At the
Chisos Mountains trailhead, ready to hike up to the south rim for our
wedding. |
It was
cold after we climbed up out of the basin onto the pass that leads to the
south rim. |
This
is the spot on the south rim where we were married. |

The
wind was trying to blow Janice's veil all the way to Mexico. |
"Hurry
up and kiss me so I can get my sweatshirt back on". |

The newlyweds
looking out over 50 miles of Texas, the Rio Grande and another 50 miles of
Mexico. |
Words
cannot express our gratitude to Curtis for giving us such a moving
marriage ceremony in special place that means so much to both of us. |
Janice
made sure that Curtis filled out the paperwork correctly (luckily one of
us knew which county Big Bend is in). |
After
a traditional wedding lunch of Power Bars and Pringles, we hiked out to
the East Rim. |

On the
way back down the mountain, the sun came out and the view through the gully
known as "the window" was spectacular. |
We
made it back to the lodge just in time to take quick showers...... |
......
before a champagne toast overlooking the window at sunset. |
Sunset
at the end of our perfect wedding day. |
